Center for Athletic Performance

and Physical Therapy

The Center for Athletic Performance and Physical Therapy was founded in March of 2003 by Tom Bratcher with the purpose of opening an affordable premier physical therapy and performance clinic where all patients would be provided with the greatest level of care and given every chance to achieve their highest goals. As success grew in the Scottsdale location, The Center for Athletic Performance and Physical Therapy expanded to Cave Creek in 2005, Kansas City in 2007, Arrowhead in 2013, and Casa Grande in 2014. The Center in Casa Grande helps both Grande Sports Academy athletes and members of the local community succeed in conquering their athletic goals and getting back to the sport they love.

Our licensed, and board certified, physical therapist treats acute, chronic, post-surgical and sports related injuries. With over a decade of experience, there is almost no injury that our Casa Grande staff has not seen or worked on.

We believe in keeping continuity with each athlete, maintaining a strong PT-patient relationship with the same therapist initially evaluating the individual and progressing them through to discharge and getting them back to sport.

“Sports Physical Therapy” has become an overused, and misused, cliché in the field of therapy. A true Sports Physical Therapist understands the sport, not just the injury, but also the true physiological and biomechanical demands of the athletic endeavor on the human body. Every athlete responds to the same sporting activity differently and therefore every athletes training and therapy demands should differ to specifically meet their needs.

Our Sports Physical Therapy program utilizes every avenue available to produce a more efficient and therefore less prone to injury, athlete. We will study the athlete, if capable, while performing their activity to analyze their mechanics. We then formulate a plan to get the athlete back on the field as quickly, but more importantly, as SAFELY, as possible.
