The Academy Experience
Train the Real Salt Lake Way
Grande Sports Academy residential soccer camps offer an unforgettable experience and are a great opportunity for young soccer players aged 10 – 17 to not only improve their skills on the field but also learn about the importance of teamwork, sportsmanship and commitment. Our residential camps are a great opportunity for players to improve their tactical and technical abilities, work with and get evaluated by some of the best coaches in the country. Furthermore, players have an opportunity to meet a number of young players from all over the world who share the same enthusiasm for the beautiful game of soccer and build life-long friendships.
Grande Sports Academy is located on the campus of the new $20 million Grande Sports World complex in Casa Grande, Arizona, just 45 minutes from Phoenix International Airport. Grande Sports World has quickly become one of the finest soccer training facilities in the country and serves as a training destination for the top youth, professional and national teams from around the globe. US Soccer has named Grande Sports World the West Conference’s Best Training Facility for two consecutive seasons (2012-13 & 2013-14).
The Grande Sports Academy coaching staff possesses a wealth of playing and coaching experience that elevates the soccer camp to the highest level. Our coaches are committed and dedicated to youth development, as we are the 2012-13 US Soccer Development Academy U-15/16 National Champions and the 2013-14 USSDA U-15/16 National Championship finalists. Grande Sports Academy campers will immensely benefit from their vast experience along with their devotion to improving the campers’ skills.
Grande Sports Academy soccer camps provide a competitive playing and learning environment in which the players receive instructions and directions that address all four dimensions of the game:
Technical: Training sessions provide professional training that incorporates the technical side of the game (passing, receiving, dribbling, crossing, finishing, 1v1 defending, etc.) into the sessions while avoiding repetitive & monotonous activities.
Tactical: Training sessions are structured so that the player is put in game-like situations and must answer the questions which are produced from the exercises. With guidance from the coaches, we look to increase the player’s soccer IQ, subsequently raising their ability to “read the game.”
Physical: Three-a-day sessions are organized to ensure that the player’s aerobic base is increased while simultaneously safeguarding against overexertion.
Psychological: The residential aspect of soccer camp emulates the full-time academy setup and encourages the player to become more independent, disciplined and mature while doing so in a safe and structured environment.
Camp pricing includes all meals, accommodations, training, t-shirt, service fee and sales tax.
