PORTLAND, Ore. – Opening the 2015-16 U.S. Soccer Development Academy season with an undefeated run through three games, both RSL-AZ U-15/16 and U-17/18 entered last weekend’s road trip to Vancouver and Portland with eyes on continuing that streak.

By the end of the weekend, both the 16s and 18s had dropped their undefeated status, with the Vancouver Whitecaps getting the 1-0 win over RSL-AZ U-15/16 and the Timbers pulling out the 2-0 win vs. RSL-AZ U-17/18.

The weekend wasn’t a total loss, with the 18s salvaging a 1-1 draw against the Whitecaps and the 16s powering their way to a 5-1 win over the Timbers in Portland.

The Academy has a well-deserved weekend off before the 16s head to Colorado next weekend to kick off qualifying for the 2016 Generation adidas Cup.
